Pakistan test fires first nuclear – capable submarine cruise missile
Pakistan has successfully test-fired its nuclear – capable Submarine- Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM). According to 9th January statement by Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Military. Named Babur – 3, the SLCM was fired to a range of 450 km for an underwater mobile platform at an undisclosed location in the Indian Ocean and hit its target with precise accuracy.

Ranieri named as FIFA coach of the year 2016
Leicester city boss Claudio Ranieri has been named as the Coach of the year at the FiFA Foot ball awards in Zurich. The Italian was up against Fernando Santos, who led Portugal to Euro 2016 glory in the summer, and Zinedine Zidane, who guided Real Madrid to the Champions League title last season. Ranieri was presented with the award by Diego Maradona.
Maharashtra Govt launches India’s largest WiFi service
Maharashtra Government on 9 January 2017 launched India’s largest public WiFi service called “Mumbai WiFi”. The facility was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. It was aimed to empower people digitally in Mumbai. It is also claimed to be one of the “largest WiFi service” in the World.
Eight – year old boy becomes National Boxing Champion
An eight – year old boy from Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri in India has own Gold Medal in Thai Boxing Championship at the National level. Abbu Ammaz, a class 2 student bagged the Gold Medal at the National level, he was felicitated by the district people, the civil administration, district authorities and police.
Gionee signs Virat Kohli as brand ambassador
Mobile handset brand Gionee has signed with India’s newly elected ODI & T-20, Test Captain Virat Kohli as the brand ambassador. The announcement of Kohli’s appointment was made alongside the announcement of Gionee Clocking 1.2 crore customers in India. With Kohli coming to the board, the mobile giant will try to double its sale in the country.
Haryana to set up “Prarambh School for Teachers Education”
Haryana has started state level “Prarambh School For Teachers Education. It would be set up at village Silani in district Jhajjar over an area of 10 acres. Mr. Manohar Lal Haryana Chief Minister presided over the first meeting of the Governing Body of Prarambh School For Teachers Education.
