Changes in IBPS SO 2017 Exam Pattern


This year IBPS has completely tossed the exam pattern for Specialist Officer Recruitment. With the introduction of two phases of online examination now candidates have to put forth more efforts for this recruitment as well. Before you start preparing and practising for this recruitment it is very important that you understand the changes in exam pattern first. Keep on reading for details about the changes in this year’s IBPS SO Recruitment Process.
 
Following is the new exam pattern for IBPS SO Recruitment.
Preliminary Exam


For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Prelims is qualifying in nature. 
Mains Exam
For the post of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer

Selected candidates from the Mains Test will be called to appear for the final Interview Phase.

A New Challenge: 2 Hours of Preliminary Exam

If you are a banking aspirant you must be well familiar with the usual exam pattern of Prelims Exam i.e. 100 questions for 60 minutes. But in IBPS SO recruitment there a 2 Hour Preliminary Exam. Although the prelims will have 3 sections only and is qualifying in nature, but the increase in the length of the test is suggestive of a possible increase in difficulty level as well. You must practice according and make a proper strategy for both prelims and mains.
