L&T Tech Services inks pact with ExxonMobil
L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has signed an agreement with ExxonMobil Exploration Company in a deal valued at over $20 million in the first year.
LTTS will work in collaboration with group company Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) on this engagement.
Weightlifter Punam Yadav Won 5th Gold For India
India’s weightlifter Punam Yadav won gold in the Women’s 69kg weightlifting category. He lifted a combined total of 222kg (100 snatches and 122 clean and jerk) and defeated England’s Sarah Davies her closest competitor to take her second medal at the Commonwealth Games. In 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow in Scotland, Punam Yadav had won Bronze. This was India’s fifth gold medal in the ongoing games. Venkat Rahul Ragala earned India the fourth Gold medal after lifting 338 kilograms in the Men’s 85 kg category. He had lifted 151 kg in snatch and 187 kg in clean & jerk.

Uttar Pradesh Government launched Ganga Hariteema Yojana (also known as Ganga Greenery scheme) in 27 districts of the state located on the bank of river Ganga. It was launched by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a function organized on the bank of Sangam the confluence of rivers of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.

It has emerged ahead of the likes of Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi, according to the report of OpenSignal, a wireless coverage mapping company. Four cities from India’s central and eastern regions namely Patna, Kanpur, Allahabad, Kolkata, Bhopal, and Lucknow made it to the top 10 while popular tech hubs like Bengaluru are at 10, followed by Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi.
‘Gobardhan Yojana’ launched to Support Farmers
The Haryana government launched the ‘Gobardhan Yojana’ to provide for the sale of organic manure and cow urine with an aim to benefit farmers. A provision of Rs 11 crore has been made to provide benefits of various projects under this scheme. The Gobardhan Yojana would help in doubling the income of farmers and next time, the MSP would be given with additional benefit of 50% over the cost of production.
