HOW TO CRACK SBI PO PRE 2016 IN A WEEK

SBI PO pre preparation tips

Candidates who are going to appear in the exam should know the details about the examination mainly the pattern of exam and the syllabus which will be covered in the prelim examination. This is to be noted that the SBI PO prelim will be conducted for 100 marks and this is for selecting the candidates for mains phase only. The time allowed will be 1 hour and candidates will have to solve 3 sections in that time period. They can choose any question out of 100 questions in the exam. After the time of 1 hour the test will be submitted at server end and candidates can check the number of questions attempted by them in the exam. Below is the pattern of the exam

  1. General English for 30 marks
  2. General aptitude test for 35 marks
  3. General reasoning test for 35 marks

All the questions will carry 1 mark and candidates should prepare hard for the prelim. Those who will pass in sectional cutoff as well as overall cutoff will be allowed for the mains exam and they will be issued the admit card for this.

Syllabus for the SBI PO Prelim exam

Candidates need to know the syllabus for the exam which is very important. The syllabus of the exam is same as that of IBPS PO or IBPS Clerk. The complete for prelim is more than IBPS clerk but less than that of IBPS PO examination. Below is the syllabus for the exam

The syllabus for reasoning will not contain any non verbal reasoning questions either in prelim or in mains. The aptitude section in prelim will contain numerical and statement based questions both while there will be only 1 DI in the prelim exam in aptitude section. Also the English section will be moderate in nature.

Tips for SBI PO prelim exam 2016

  1. Solve minimum number of questions from each section

Candidates will need to know that they have to attempt at least minimum number of questions in each section first as sectional cutoff is there and passing in each section is required

 

  1. Accuracy

Candidates will need to maintain accuracy. Do not solve those questions in which you are confused or not sure. In English section you can leave the passages part

  1. Maintain speed

It is very important. Candidates will need to solve many questions to score good marks. As the competition in the exam is high good performance in prelim is also required.

  1. Practice all section

This is very useful for the candidates who are going to appear in the SBI Prelim or mains exam. They have to practice all the sections thoroughly for each section.

Tips for English section

To improve their English section candidates will need to Read daily news paper and they can watch the English news paper. Also they have to solve the questions based on the pattern of exam as given above. A few candidates ignore English section which results I the poor performance of candidates and they even cannot qualify the prelim examination.

Tips for reasoning section:

All the questions in reasoning will be from non verbal reasoning only, candidates will try to attempt all the easy questions fort. There will be only one puzzle based question and candidates can attempt that question in the last. Reasoning is one of the important section ad this will contain 35 marks. There will be 35 questions and candidates can allocate 25 minutes of time for this section.

Tips for aptitude section:

This will be one of toughest section in the examination and candidates will need to allocate another 25 minutes of time for them. There will be only one DI in the prelim exam which will be from tabular data. Candidates should prepare well for the tabular DI for the exam. There will be questions both from statement based and direct simplification. Also the approximation questions will be there and candidates can do it at the beginning. This is very important section.

In prelim the nature of exam  is required for the candidates to qualify in each of the section separately and they have to pass in each section of English Aptitude and reasoning. Candidates who will pass the prelim will be called next for the mains examination which will be conducted online there will be 200 of Objective questions and descriptive test for 50 marks will be there. The exam will be conducted simultaneously and candidates will need to pass the exam with good marks. This will be followed by the personal interview and the group discussion process. First the Group discussion process will be conducted and every 1 out of 3 candidates will be selected for the personal interview. Candidates will need to know the criteria for the exam well before they will have to pass the exam.

Selected candidates will be called for the mains phase. The mains exam will be very exam and marks obtained by this will be used to calculate the final cutoff for the selection. Candidates will need to pass in written test with good marks and after this they will be finally selected for the Group discussion and personal interview process which will be the last phase. Based on overall performance of candidates they will be finally selected for the post.
