To improvise the working of Gram Panchayats in Haryana the Development & Panchayats Deptt has planned for Grading / Ranking the Gram Panchayats. With a view to scale up the coverage of the ranking exercise and encourage GPs to actively implement the schemes in a timely and innovative manner, Development &Panchayats department proposes to conduct an Inter-district verification to award star rating amongst 6203 GPs based on specific parameters.
Best performing selected Gram Panchayats from each district will be identified in a systematic manner, as given below, and will be Awarded and Incentivized. Such GPs will be recognized as “Indradhanush Gram Panchayats” who scores maximum in all parameters. Thenominations for awards will be invited online as per the timelines fixed by Department of Development & Panchayats, Haryana.
Star GP Status will be given on the basis of performance on below mentioned Seven categories :-
♦ Male/ Female Sex Ratio (equal or more)
♦ Education (Dropouts) (Zero dropouts or Minimum dropouts)
♦ Hygiene /Serenity
♦ Peace & Harmony (No litigation or Minimum litigation)
♦ Environment Preservation
♦ Good Governance
♦ Social Participation
Rewards
♦ 6 stars – 20 lakh.
♦ 5 stars – 15 lakh.
♦ 4 stars – 10 lakh.
♦ Villages for achieving each parameter will be rewarded Rs 1 lakh. Villages having equal or more girl population will be given INR 50000 as bonus with their reward money. Villages which adopt Swachhta Mission will be given additional INR 50000.
Various Colour Stars
- Pink star – To panchayats that make outstanding performance in improving sex ratio.
- Green star – For protection of environment
- White star – Cleanliness.
- Saffron star – For crime-free villages.
- Sky colour star – To village that will have no drop out.
- Golden star – For good governance.
- Silver star – For participation in development of villages.
