  • Reading Comprehension:
    The passage was not story based and there were no vocabulary based questions.
  • Rearrangement:
    A sentence was divided into 5 different parts and the students had to rearrange them properly to make a meaningful and grammatically correct sentence.
  • Phrase Replacement:
    Questions were based on Idioms & Phrases. A part of the sentence was given in bold and the students had to identify the correct idiom or phrase from the given options which could be used to replace it.
  • Fill in the blanks:
    Double filler based questions were asked.

  • Level of the section: Moderate
  • Important Changes: No major change was introduced in this section

  • Miscellaneous Questions:

IBPS Clerk Prelims Analysis: Overall  

The preliminary exam for IBPS Clerk was conducted online and had 100 questions for 60 minutes. Candidates have to manage those 60 minutes themselves while dealing with three sections- Reasoning Ability (35 Ques), Numerical Ability (35 Ques), and English Language (30 Ques).

English Language (Moderate-Difficult)

The level of English Language was Moderate-Difficult. There were new pattern questions on idiom and phrases where one had to choose an idiom/phrase the was similar to the word given in bold. There were questions of double fillers. In sentence rearrangement, parts of a sentence were to be rearranged to make a meaningful sentence.
