MoS Dr Jitendra Singh launches India Post Payments Bank at Jammu
The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singhlaunched India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) in Jammu today. The launch was a part of the nationwide launch of IPPBs across the country that is aimed at reaching the population of the country through utilization of the postal network for banking services. The Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha (Jammu-Poonch), Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma was also present on the occasion.
ONGO Framework acquires Hockystick Media
ONGO Framework said it has recently acquired Hyderabad-based Hockystick Media in an undisclosed cash-plus-equity deal.
A digital marketing agency founded by ex-Googlers Shrikanth Katkurwar, Abhijit Gogoi, and Ambujam, Hockystick Media delivers end-to-end digital marketing solutions. It has worked with SMEs and high-growth start-ups from India, in addition to supporting digital agencies across the US and the UK.
ITI to host first ICT, IoT expo for start-ups
To enable start-ups and technology owners discuss, discover and collaborate to convert their innovative ideas into marketable products and services, ITI will host the first edition of ‘ICT & IoT Start-up Tech Expo 2018’ on September 1 and 2 at its Bengaluru plant.
More than 100 IoT, ICT and defence technology start-ups will participate in the Expo.

Ola launches mobility institute as a research and social innovation think tank
Ride-hailing platform, Ola, has announced the launch of the Ola Mobility Institute, a policy research and social innovation think tank to develop knowledge frameworks that will focus on the intersection of mobility and public good.

Jain Muni Tarun Sagar passed away at the age of 51 in Delhi’s Radhapuri Jain temple due to prolonged illness. The monk, who was known for his lecture series ‘Kadve Pravachan’, was suffering from jaundice and other ailments.
