SSC CGL Application Form 2018:
Candidates, who are interested and will be eligible according to the eligibility criteria, will be able to apply online for SSC CGL 2018 examination for the desired post via filling the SSC CGL 2018 Application Form. Candidates will have to fill SSC CGL 2018 Online form via online mode on or before the last date. The last date to fill SSC CGL Application Form 2018 has been revealed and it is 31st May 2018.
How to Apply for SSC CGL 2018 Recruitment?
- Firstly, candidates must have to visit the official website – ssc.nic.in
- Click on the “Notice” Section and read official notification carefully
- Click on the “Apply” Section and Online the online application form link
- Open the SSC CGL Online Application from 2018 window
- SSC CGL 2018 Online form will be divided into two Parts – Part-1 and Part-2
- Part I Registration – You will have to fill basic information and preference of posts
- Part II Registration – You will have to fill payment details, upload scanned signature and photograph
- You needed to upload recently taken a photo in JPG format. The size of image less than 12kb and greater than 4kb with the resolution of 100*120 pixels
- You needed to upload scanned signature in JPG format. The size of image less than 12kb and greater than 1kb with the resolution of 140*60 pixels
- After completing the SSC CGL Part-2 Registration, you must have to take the print out of the submitted application form
SSC CGL 2018 Application Fee:
The candidates will have to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee. However, no fee is needed to be paid by SC, ST, Female, Physically Handicapped (PH), and Ex-Servicemen (EXS) applicants. SSC CGL 2018 Applications fee should be paid only via SBI either in the form of challan or through SBI Net Banking or any other bank Debit/Credit Card. If you want to pay application fee in cash, then you will have to be taken a printout of challan generated online after the completion the SSC CGL 2018 Part-1 registration. The Deposit requisite fee in any branch of State Bank of India and then continues for SSC CGL Part-2 registration 2018.

SSC CGL Tier-I Exam Pattern – Computer Based Examination
The CGL Tier-I exam is an objective type exam which will be held via online mode. Total four sections available is the Tier-I exam with 100 questions which comprising of 200 marks. The details are given below:-

SSC CGL Tier-II Exam Pattern – Computer Based Examination
The Tier-II exam is an objective type examination which will be held via online mode. Total four sections available in the Tier 2 exam with 100 questions which comprising of 200 marks. The details are given below:-

* Questions in Paper-I will be of 10th level, Paper-2 of 10+2 level, and Paper-3 & 4 will be of graduation level.
* The exam duration is 2 Hours and 40 Minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped.
SSC CGL Tier-III Exam Pattern – Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
The Tier 3 exam would be a descriptive type paper and would be held via offline mode. This exam will carry 100 marks and time duration of the exam would be 1 hour. The Paper would comprise writing of a Passage of 250 words / Essay and Application /Letter Writing of approx 150 words. However, for qualifying in the Tier-III exam, candidates would be passed with 33% marks.

General Intelligence & Reasoning: This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. The topics are, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Number Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern –folding & unfolding, Figural Pattern – folding and completion, Indexing, Address matching, Date & city matching, Classification of centre codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence, Other sub-topics, if any.
General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.
Quantitative Aptitude: The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be the computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion,Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons , Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.
English Comprehension: Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension, and writing ability, etc. would be tested. The questions in Parts A, B, & D will be of a level commensurate with the essential qualification viz. Graduation and questions in Part C will be of 10th standard level.
SSC CGL 2018 Selection Process:
SSC CGL Selection Process 2018 includes 4 tiers steps, which are maintained below:-
- Tier-1 Exam: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type) (200 Marks)
- Tier-2 Exam: Computer Based Examination (Objective Type) (each paper carry 200 marks)
- Tier-3 Exam: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive Type) (100 Marks)
- Tier-4 Exam: Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification
SSC CGL Admit Card 2018:
Candidates who will successfully submit SSC CGL 2018 Application Form will be able to download SSC CGL Admit Card 2018 for Tier-I exam from 2nd week of July because SSC CGL Tier-I exam is expected to be held from 25th July to 20th Aug 2018 for all regions. The SSC CGL 2018 Admit Card will be released region wise on the official website of SSC CGL. First of all, the commission will release the application status and after that SSC CGL Tier-I Admit Card 2018. Candidates will be able to download their call letter by using their registration number and date of birth which they have used in the application form submission.
SSC CGL Cut Off 2018:
The SSC CGL Cut-Off marks are the minimum marks which are required to qualify the Combined Graduate Level exam. The SSC CGL 2018 cut-off marks will be released with the result declaration. The SSC CGL Cut-off 2018 for Tier I Exam will be depended on the level of exam, overall difficulty level of section wise paper, and the number of students will be appeared for the examination, etc. When the SSC CGL Cutoff 2018 will be released we will update here.
SSC CGL Result 2018:
SSC CGL Tier-I Result 2018 is expected to be announced after 2 months of examination. Candidates who will appear in the tier-I exam and will be successfully attempted the examination, will be able to check their result from the official website. This year CGL Tier-I exam is set to be held from 25th July to 20th Aug 2018. SSC CGL Result 2018 will be released on the official website with cut off marks and candidates will be able to check their result by using their roll number and name. Only those candidates will be able to appear in Tier-II examination who will clear the CGL Tier-I 2018 Exam successfully.
