SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 Maths Exam Review & Questions Asked (20th Feb 2018)
- Level of Paper 1 (Maths) was Moderate.
- Paper seems to be of similar difficulty level as seen in the previous days (17th, 18th, & 19th) of SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 Exam.
- Again questions asked were New, and this is the reason aspirants found the paper to be on the tougher side.
- There were no direct formula-based questions, Every Question needed Analysis, Inferences and Quick Calculation.
- We advise having basics clear questions asked are non-repetitive and based on concepts.
- It’s time to revise the basics of Advance Maths.
- Arithmetic questions were of easy to moderate level.
- Questions on Number Systems were Statement and Inference based (Nested Questions). (Time Taking)
- Questions on Mensuration were lengthy, calculative and New Type.
- Trigonometry Questions were a bit tricky and time- consuming.
- Algebra was moderate but higher level than CGL 2016
- Those who revised previous days Questions of Algebra and Trigonometry with benefited slightly.
- No Co-ordinate geometry questions were asked.
- A lot of Questions had diagrams and had calculative or time-consuming questions.
- Approximation method could not be applied as options were not round off numbers.
- DI was on Tabular Chart Graph (Very Lengthy and Calculative)
Bottom Line: Almost 80 – 90 Questions were doable by average candidates in home based conditions, but due to exam pressure and new type of questions, candidates were unable to attempt upto their true potential.
