General Intelligence
In SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam 2017 the questions of General Intelligence(Reasoning) were quite easy as usual. But some questions were difficult which were asked from figure counting and coding-decoding. Students can have a fair idea of what SSC had been upto in terms of these questions. As per the inputs shared by students, this was the easiest among all the other sections.

English Language
English Language section again surprised candidates with 1 question from Active/Passive Voice and 1 question from narration. There was no reading comprehension and this was a major shocker for students. This year in this shift there was a cloze test (cloze tests were not seen in CGL Tier I exams in last 2-3 years). Para Jumble was a new introduction in this year’s exam and it is time cosuming. Questions from Antonyms & Synonyms were quite difficult.

Quantitative Aptitude
Quant in CGL 2017 exam was of moderate level. In this shift Quant questions were very calculative. 5 Questions from Bar Graph DI were asked. There were 5 questions of SI & CI and Profit and Loss. There were 2-3 from trigonometry which are not of basic level. Questions from algebra were quite easy. Geometry questions are not that easy.
There were 1 DI in the Exam:- Bar Graph (Sales percentage of 3 cars(sedan,SUV, hatchback ))
Some questions are:
- If area of similar Triangle is 5:7. Then what is the ratio of its sides?
- Amit can do a peice of work in 25 days and Tony in 20 days. If Tony started and worked for 10 days and left how many days it will take for Amit to complete remaining work?
- If x/y+y/x=1 then x³+y³?
- If A share is 5/7 of B+C and B share is 7/9 of A+C and given some amount then find C share?

General Awareness
In SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam 2017, General Awareness questions were asked from all aspects of GA. Maximum questions were from History (4-5), Polity (4-5) and Science (7-8 questions). The level was easy-moderate.
