Amul sets up remote sensing centre in Anand for fodder crop estimation
In a bid to provide milk producers information on fodder cultivation and production estimates, Amul has set up a satellite remote sensing centre in Anand which would cover Kaira, Anand and Mahisagar districts. Initially, five districts of Central and North Gujarat will be covered for fodder crop estimation.
Vinay Kumar is envoy to Afghanistan
Senior diplomat Vinay Kumar has been appointed as India’s ambassador to strategically key Afghanistan, succeeding incumbent Manpreet Vohra.
Mr. Kumar, a 1992 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently serving as Joint Secretary (south) in the headquarters of the External Affairs Ministry here. “He is expected to take up his assignment shortly,”

Eashwar Iyer appointed CFO of Atria Convergence Technologies
Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT) has appointed Eashwar Iyer as the new Chief Financial officer (CFO).
Eashwar Iyer would lead the finance division of ACT across all verticals and legal entities. He would also be responsible for financial planning and reporting, purchase and other commercial activities, along with guiding the legal and secretarial teams, a statement from Atria Convergence Technologies.
Flipkart Limited invests ₹ 4843.4 crore into its India units to take on Amazon
The Singapore-based holding firm of Indian online retailer Flipkart had invested ₹ 4843.4 crore into two of its India entities, in a bid to take on its rival Amazon.
Flipkart Limited had put ₹4472.4 crore into the marketplace unit of Flipkart India, Another Singapore-based unit Flipkart Marketplace Private Limited had invested₹370.9 crore into Flipkart Internet Private Limited, which owns and operates an online shopping portal in India.

Arunachal Express between Naharlagun-Anand Vihar flagged off
A new train between Naharlagunin Arunachal Pradesh and Anand ViharTerminal in the national capital was today flagged off by Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Rajen Gohain.
Speaking on the occasion Rijiju, the Union Minister of State for Home said “This is the beginning. Arunachal Pradesh is poised for a giant leap in the developmental front with survey of 11 railway projects in the state going on which, will change the face of the state soon.”
