For Central Government pensioners the minimum pension is raised to rs.9,000
Minister of State, Dr Jitendra Singh announced that the minimum pension for all the 50-55 lakh central government pensioners was increased to Rs. 9,000 and the ex gratis increased from 10-15 lakh to 25-35 lakh.
First time in the world FM radio broadcasting was ceased by Norway
To promote digital-only radios Norway ceased the FM radio broadcasting using analog frequencies. The national broadcaster NRK, the nationwide radio channels started switching from analog to digital which provides a wider range of broadcasting and high sound clarity.
Telangana state celebrated 6 days International Kites Festival from 12th of January
Hyderabad and two other Telangana districts participated in this second International Kite Festival. Telangana Tourism conducted this festival to create awareness on education and empowerment of girl children. From 17 countries with 70 international and 40 national kite flyers participated and a special night-flying event is also planned at People’s Plaza as a per-festival event.
