IB Security Assistant (Executive) Job Description
Classification – General Central Service, Group- C (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
This post involves an All India Service Liability. Thus, only if you are ready to work anywhere in India must you apply. Vacancies are in Intelligence Bureau SIBs at Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizwal, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Dibrugarh, Delhi, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Leh, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Meerut, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Shimla, Srinagar, Trivandrum, Varanasi, Vijaywada.
The post is equal to Constable post in Police department. But the nature of work will be different from the branch where you are posted. One thing I can tell you surely the job will not be like the job of a constable. You will get good respect than the police department in Bureau
You have to do the following things ;-
Patrols and Checks
A security assistant patrols the grounds of a business or organization and ensures there is no disorderly or unlawful behavior. The security officer in charge may assign him a particular post such as the gate of the premises where he makes sure no one enters without authorization. A security assistant checks identification cards of employees and visitors and utilizes scanning devices to check whether they are carrying any weapons or dangerous devices. In the event of a security breach, he can temporarily apprehend and question a suspect before handing him over to authorities.
Security Programs
A security assistant formulates and implements security programs in liaison with the security officer and management of a business or organization. He evaluates the effectiveness of security policies and procedures and possibly the safety of classified information. He reports information about security measures to all concerned parties, reporting, for example, movement of people and any suspicious acts. He also coordinates collection of feedback regarding security and forwards it to a senior security officer for evaluation.Security Equipment
A security assistant is responsible for handling security equipment such as electronic surveillance devices, two-way radios and alarms. He takes inventory of the assigned security equipment and ensures the devices are accounted for. A security assistant also maintains safe custody of confidential storage devices assigned to him. In case of loss, vandalism, sabotage, theft or malfunction of any security device, he reports the matter to the security officer.
Other Duties
A security assistant undertakes any other security-related duties assigned to him by his supervisor. He supervises and trains security guards placed under his charge by the security officer. The officer maintains order during emergency situations such as fires and directs people to exit points. He also fills out required paperwork related to security breaches and workplace injuries and maintains records touching on an organization’s security issues for future reference.
IB Security Assistant (Executive) Salary in Hand – Pay Scale
Pay scale Rs. 5200 – 20200 plus Grade Pay Rs. 2000 (PB-1) (Plus admissible Central Government allowances)
Expected Salary is Given Below :
According to 7th CPC:
Basic: 20,200
DA (4% as on May, 2017): 868
TA: 3600 (tier-1 cities), 1800 (other cities)
DA on TA: 4% of 1800 = 72
HRA: 24% (Tier-1), 16% (Tier-2), 8% (Tier-3)
HRA = 0.08 x 21,700 = 1,736
overtime and other allowances.
Minimum gross salary = Rs. 26,176 (tier-3 city)
