Subsequently, design a study plan with more focus on those areas. Vocabulary topics like Antonyms, Synonyms and Idioms & Phrases must be revised every day.

  • Reading Habit and Grammar Basics

If you wish to achieve a good score in the English Section, you must curate a habit of regular reading. Regular reading improves your comprehension skill, tour speed of reading, and you get to learn new words and other vocabulary aspects every day. You can choose to read a newspaper every day or can also pick up books by well-reputed authors. Reading good literature will add excellent value to your English Language preparation.

Grammar Basic are like formulas for Mensuration. You will not be able to solve a fundamental question of Circle area without the correct formula. Similarly, if you are not clear about the rules of subject-verb agreement, Verb time Sequences, or active-passive, you will make mistakes.

You must have already covered most of the Grammar rules for Tier 1 exam, revise them properly and complete the rules for the added topics.

  • Booklist, Notes Making and Practise

Always keep the booklist and study resources concise. You must focus on the quality of the preparation rather than the number of books covered. Ensure that you practise regularly. The best way to revise and practise for English paper is to enrol in a test series or practise multiple quizzes.

Apart from the points mentioned above, there are two more things that you must practise.

Make a habit of revising that notebook every day for better retention and memorization. Keep adding new words after reading and solving mock tests. At the end of the preparation, you will have one notebook to revise and successfully qualify the examination.

Lastly, in the preparation phase, find the correct way to attempt the paper. Find a pattern that suits your speed and strengths. Generally,  you must attempt the vocabulary section first as it takes the minimum time. Moving on, you can solve the Comprehension section because if you leave it for the last, the time crunch and haste might make it difficult to read long paragraphs and comprehend. In the end, solve the other two remaining topics.

Keep practising. Improve every day, and you will surely qualify SSC CGL Tier 2 Examination.

All the best!
